There is relief and thanksgiving within the Catholic community following the safe return of Seminarian Kelvin Ochai, the Otukpo Diocesan seminarian who was abducted a few days ago from the Bishop's House in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.

According to information available to Benue Info-pedia, the seminarian escaped from his abductors after reportedly trekking for several hours through the bush.

He later arrived safely in Aliade, where he was received by Rev. Fr. Vitalis Ioryue, C.S.Sp., at SS. Peter and Paul's Parish, Aliade, in the Catholic Diocese of Makurdi.

The news has brought relief to members of the Catholic Church, his family, friends, and many others who had prayed for his safe return since news of his abduction became public.

As of the time of filing this report, authorities have not released further details regarding the circumstances of his escape or whether security operations contributed to his freedom.

Church authorities and relevant security agencies are also yet to issue detailed official statements on his health, the circumstances surrounding the abduction, and ongoing efforts to apprehend those responsible.
