A final-year nursing student of Nana College of Health, Okpo, in Olamaboro LGA of Kogi State has reportedly been killed by local vigilante members. The incident, according to eyewitnesses, occurred after the student was accused of attempting to enter the campus through an unfinished fence.

A tragic incident has been reported at Nana College of Health, Okpo, in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State, where a final-year nursing student was allegedly beaten to death by members of a local vigilante group.

According to eyewitness accounts, the student was accused of attempting to gain access to the school premises through an unfinished section of the fence. Witnesses said he was unarmed at the time of the incident.

Sources at the scene reported that the student was attacked with sticks and stones by the vigilante members. He was said to have sustained severe injuries during the assault and later died.

Some sources indicated that the victim had recently been dealing with mental health challenges, although this has not been officially confirmed.

As of press time, authorities have not released an official statement regarding the incident. Efforts to reach local security officials and school authorities were unsuccessful.
